For some of you know Wendybyrd has had extremely painful flows all her life. Recently she was in the ER for abdominal cramping and after all the test they found that she has a 3" Fibroid which is a type of tumor. This is a benign tumor that resides in the muscle of the uterus. They also found that she has two cysts on one of her ovaries that are fairly common.
On Wednesday we went in for a pre-op appointment to discuss what to look forward to. Then on monday at 6:00 a.m. we are scheduled for surgery. Where she will be undergoing a full hysterectomy.
So I hope that you can send her some well wishes, healing and positive energy for her as she goes through this.

Sat, April 5, 2008 - 2:17 PMOk so here is the "scoop" (pun intended), Byrd is holding up well she has been getting around well and is still very uncomfortable and in pain.
The surgery went well and unfortunately the Dr. had to take everything though she wanted to keep her ovaries, but unfortunately they had to go due to a small amount of endodemetriosis. However she will be free of her painful flows and cramping she will also be on hormone therapy for the next few years.
I think that is all there is for now, I know I am not the best st this thing, but damn it I try. :) Thanks for all your good and positive energy.
